This is the fifth platform release since launch. The DCG team typically issues updates every six weeks, gradually porting the Dash Platform functionality to Evonet.
The DCG said that they have entered the final stage of implementing this plan and, to cut operating costs, will combine two releases in the next update. Their release is planned for late December or mid-December.
Among the most significant changes included in this release, the developers named:
- a refinement of the Dash Platform protocol to improve data storage efficiency;
- simplification of the definition of binary properties in a data contract;
- an update to the structure and rules for agreeing on identifiers;
- fixes that eliminated the source of nondeterminism in block processing.
The previous platform release presented in September.
Earlier in DCG stated that Dash should not be perceived as a privacy-focused cryptocurrency, and its better definition is a means of payment.
