Delegate and LayerZero Launch Cross-Chain Name Identification Service
The teams behind the Ethereum infrastructure project Delegate and the interoperability platform LayerZero have unveiled an inter-network naming protocol called Clusters.
Clusters is a multiwallet protocol.
All your addresses under one name.
EVM, Solana, even Bitcoin.
The creation flow will autopopulate any wallets you’ve delegated to. Get an optional headstart by filling in linked addresses at https://t.co/7TUyy3hMgw

Such solutions map blockchain addresses to readable names. The most well-known example is ENS, the Ethereum Name Service.
Clusters offers an alternative by creating a unified registry for multiple EVM-compatible blockchains like Solana, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, and Base. Integration with the Bitcoin network is planned for the near future.
Your universal name.

“Clusters is a cross-chain naming protocol supporting multiple wallets, addressing issues such as address fragmentation, management complexity, and domain squatting,” according to the description.
The product serves as an identification layer for multiple chains, simplifying interactions with various dapps and services, the developers noted.
According to them, the product functions similarly to the Ethereum Name Service but is inherently a multichain solution.
Back in November, ENS head Nick Johnson accused competitors from Unstoppable Domains of patent theft. The Ethereum service is developed as an open-source project.
