DemHack Hackathon Opens Applications for Ninth Edition

The ninth online DemHack hackathon, aimed at addressing challenges in internet freedom, will take place from September 20 to 22. Details are available on the organisers’ website.

“For the first time, the hackathon will be open not only to Russian-speaking IT specialists, activists, and internet researchers but also to English-speaking participants,” noted DemHack representatives.

The prize fund will amount to 1200 USDT. Additionally, selected teams will have the opportunity to participate in the Privacy Accelerator program and receive grant support.

Unity is the central theme of the ninth hackathon. It calls on specialists from various countries and cultures to unite, share experiences, and collaborate on projects that benefit people worldwide, particularly supporting activists facing sanctions and emigration.

To participate in the hackathon, applications must be submitted by September 16, followed by a competitive selection process.

Last year, the winners of DemHack were three developer teams: textgericht, vox-harbor, and 418.
