
Deribit Hackers Transferred 1,610 ETH to Tornado Cash
Malicious actors transferred the funds obtained from the hack of the Deribit cryptocurrency derivatives exchange to the Tornado Cash mixer, according to data from Etherscan.
The coins were sent in 17 transfers, 16 of which were 100 ETH each. The transfers occurred on November 5, a few days after the hack of the platform.
The total amount of withdrawn cryptocurrency was 1610 ETH — 17.7% of the stolen sum (9080 ETH). According to PeckShield, the hackers also obtained 691 BTC.

After the incident, Deribit paused deposits and withdrawals, restoring functionality a few days later — November 3.

Earlier in October, an unknown transferred the funds stolen from the DeFi project TempleDAO to Tornado Cash.
Shortly before that, the mixing service was used by the hacker behind the decentralized exchange Transit Swap.
