Developers of First Web3 Laptop Promise Airdrop

The European computer firm Metavisio has announced the development of a Web3 laptop equipped with a cold storage wallet. The project will be handled by its subsidiary, Thomson Computing, according to Decrypt.

The device currently lacks a name and specifications. It is known, however, that it will feature a Secure Enclave hardware key manager, isolated from the main processor to provide an additional layer of security. This technology is used by Apple.

The developers plan to introduce three different laptop models: for educational purposes, gaming, and everyday use. Consequently, the anticipated price range is quite broad, from €499 ($523) to €2000 ($2100).

The company aims to unveil its proprietary Web3 OS by the first quarter of 2025 and proceed to create a prototype of the device. Eventually, it will incorporate a cold wallet supporting Bitcoin, XRP, Bittensor, and EVM-compatible networks.

The company will also launch its own token, which will be distributed to users for completing certain tasks, including within built-in dapps.

Further details have not yet been disclosed.

Back in September, the blockchain project XProtocol announced the “world’s first DePIN smartphone with a management node.”

In mid-2025, the Web3 smartphone Seeker (formerly Chapter 2) from Solana will enter the market.
