Donald Trump Jr. has dismissed rumors regarding the launch of a memecoin by the Truth Social platform, labeling the information as “lies spread by people.”

The rumors were sparked by a statement from Ran Neuner, founder of Crypto Banter and host of Crypto Trader on CNBC, about the launch of a Truth Social token. According to him, the development is being handled by a team associated with the memecoin TRUMP.
The denial was supported by World Liberty Financial (WLF), a DeFi project affiliated with the Trump family.
Don’t be fooled. There is no new Trump crypto project. ?
WLFI is the only DeFi project backed by the Trumps.
Anyone else pushing fake tokens is just a scammer trying to take advantage of people who don’t know better. https://t.co/SxUs9zh9Wc— WLFI (@worldlibertyfi) May 13, 2025
The company emphasized that WLF remains the only project backed by the Trumps, while other offerings are scams.
According to DEXTools, there has been a surge in activity around tokens named Truth on the Solana network. None of these are related to the official platform.

Earlier, Devin Nunes, CEO of Trump Media & Technology Group, stated that the firm is considering launching a token and wallet for payments on the streaming platform Truth+.
