Donald Trump’s tweets go on sale as NFTs

46,694 tweets by former U.S. president Donald Trump have been put up for sale as NFTs. The auction проходит on the Drumpfs.io platform.

The site is run by a student association that has archived all of the former president’s Twitter posts published during the 12 years his account existed.

The starting price of each post is 0.0232 Ethereum ($55 at the time of writing).

According to the auction organizers, the proceeds from selling the tokens will be donated to associations that ‘hated Trump’. Among them are Americares, ‘Doctors Without Borders’, ‘the Clean Air Target Group’ and the ‘Southern Poverty Law Center’.

Twitter’s administration blocked Donald Trump’s account in January 2021. At the time, supporters of the politician staged mass protests over his loss in the presidential election. Trump’s pages were also blocked on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Reddit and other social networks.

Back in February, the NFT image of Trump’s election loser, created by artist Mike Winkelmann, was resold for $6.6 million.
