The public association “Virtual Assets of Ukraine” (“VAU”) granted membership to DTEK. ForkLog reported that representatives of the association said.
As a member of VAU, DTEK will be able to participate in various initiatives aimed at exploring the use of blockchain technology in the energy sector.
Possible applications include:
- Asset tokenization;
- Development of decentralized platforms for energy trading;
- Blockchain-based carbon credits.
With the help of blockchain, energy companies can create more efficient and reliable systems for tracking energy production and consumption, which will reduce waste and enable energy generation from renewable sources,” VAU said.
Earlier in November 2022, the cross-faction group of MPs Blockchain4Ukraine and VAU signed roadmap for the adoption of blockchain and Web3 technologies in the country.
