Dune Analytics raises $2 million in seed round

Dune Analytics, a data-analytics service focused on the Ethereum ecosystem, has raised $2 million. The seed round was led by venture firm Dragonfly Capital.

The funds will be used to improve the product for both query creators and non-technical members of the community, simplifying their interaction.

Since its founding in 2018, the Oslo, Norway-based free analytics platform Dune Analytics has created 18,000 different metrics, and that number continues to grow.

“Dune Analytics is something of a GitHub-like product. We give users access to the full data set they can use for analysis and instantly share their results. This provides powerful insight and detail into how these systems work,” said Frederik Haga, CEO and co-founder of the platform, in an interview with CoinDesk.

The funding round also included Multicoin Capital, Coinbase Ventures, Digital Currency Group, and angels including the founders of DeFi protocols Compound, Aave and Uniswap.

Beyond product improvements, the team will allocate the resources to expanding the staff.
