Durov’s Team Advised Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation on Cryptocurrencies

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine is consulting with the team of Pavel Durov, creator of the Telegram messenger. This was reported by Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said in an interview with \”Ze Interviewer\”.

According to Fedorov, he is familiar with Durov’s team:

“I know Durov’s team. I know all of his management; we communicate, we consult even on draft laws related to cryptocurrency, virtual assets, and so on.”

The minister said that he actively uses the Telegram messenger for rapid communications. However, the information exchanged by officials is kept highly secure, and all documents pass through electronic document management.

“Of course, matters of state importance should not be sent via messengers; that’s obvious,” added Mykhailo Fedorov.

Earlier, on December 2, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, in first reading adopted in principle the draft law ‘On Virtual Assets’, regulating cryptocurrency operations within the country.
