Edward Snowden warns followers against investing in Shiba Inu

Former NSA and CIA employee Edward Snowden urged his followers on Twitter to refrain from purchasing the Shiba Inu token (SHIB) — a clone of the meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin (DOGE).

“If you have been persuaded to swap your hard-earned savings for new dog money, because a meme promises riches, please carefully assess your chances of outsmarting a market that sold you not even dog money, but a clone of dog money,” he wrote.

Snowden added that those who are angry at this tweet would probably be advised to reduce the size of their position in the asset.

On October 28, the price of Shiba Inu reached a historic high above $0.00008 and ranked ninth by market capitalization. Over the week the token surged 85%, according to CoinGecko.

Earlier, Elon Musk said that did not invest in Shiba Inu.
