EigenLayer’s Restaking Protocol Assets Reach $7 Billion

Amid Ethereum’s robust growth, the total value locked (TVL) in the EigenLayer restaking protocol has reached $7 billion.

Since the beginning of the year, this figure has increased nearly sevenfold.

The restaking protocol has climbed to the fourth position in the DeFi Llama rankings, surpassing platforms like Uniswap and JustLend.

EigenLayer’s TVL is rapidly increasing, despite only offering “native restaking” among its options.

The ability to interact with the protocol through LST platforms like Lido and RocketPool has been “on pause” since February 9.

In the past 24 hours, Ethereum’s value has risen by 3%, and over the past week, it has increased by 16.5%. The asset’s price has surpassed $2800, comparable to levels seen in early May 2022.

Back in February, the total value locked in EigenLayer increased by 71% due to the temporary removal of deposit limits.
