Analytics company Elliptiс announced the appointment of Mark Aruliah as Senior Policy Adviser in the United Kingdom.

He will join the crypto analytics and compliance division.
Prior to this, Aruliah spent more than 20 years at the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), specialising in capital markets policy.
As part of the FCA’s Financial Crime Advisory Group, he was responsible for amendments to cryptocurrency regulation and anti-money-laundering rules. Later, he moved to the department responsible for authorisation and supervision.
Mark Aruliah also worked with Her Majesty’s Treasury and in the Bank of England’s cryptocurrency sandbox.
Elliptiс said that Aruliah’s experience would strengthen the firm’s growing capabilities in regulating and supervising the crypto industry in Europe.
Earlier, Lim Tung Lee joined Elliptiс’s Asia team as Senior Policy Adviser; he is the former Deputy Director of Enforcement at the Monetary Authority of Singapore. David Carlisle, a former U.S. Treasury official for financial crime enforcement, became Director of Policy and Regulation at the firm.
Back in October 2021, Elliptiс closed a Series C round of $60 million led by Evolution Equity Partners.
