Grok, the AI developed by Elon Musk’s startup xAI, suggested the name GrokCoin for its memecoin after a series of leading questions and provided a contract address. This was highlighted by journalist Colin Wu.

At the time of writing, the token’s market capitalization in honor of the chatbot stands at $17 million. There is high volatility and activity, with trading volume exceeding $100 million, according to GMGN data.
The number of token holders has exceeded 11,000 addresses. Several snipers were noted to have purchased the asset at the start of trading.
ForkLog reached out to the source—Grok—regarding involvement in the creation of the token and received a negative response.
Previously, experts from the Swiss crypto bank Sygnum Bank stated that tokens associated with AI agents could become a new trend in 2025, although they remain predominantly speculative assets for now.
Back in January, Bitget CEO Gracy Chen predicted that the market capitalization of coins associated with AI agents could grow to $60 billion by 2025.
