Eminem Becomes Ambassador for Crypto.com

Renowned rapper Eminem has shared an advertisement for the cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com on the social network X.

According to The Block, a commercial featuring Eminem’s voice will air on April 27 during the NBA playoff game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets.

The publication reports that Crypto.com plans to promote its services at other sporting events, including the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami and upcoming UFC fights.

“Fortune favours the brave,” states the cryptocurrency exchange’s advertisement.

With the same slogan in October 2021, Oscar-winning actor Matt Damon promoted the trading platform. He agreed to become an ambassador for Crypto.com after the company donated $1 million to the charity Water.org, which he supports.

Besides Damon, the marketing campaign featured actress and former mixed martial artist Ronda Rousey, basketball star Carmelo Anthony, and snowboarder Lindsey Jacobellis.

Earlier, Sam Bankman-Fried, sentenced to 25 years in prison, signed a settlement with a group of exchange clients to assist in pursuing the company’s celebrity promoters.

Several celebrities affiliated with the case, including Andrei Jikh, Graham Stephan, Jaspreet Singh, Tom Nash, Brian Jung, and Jeremy Lefebvre, settled claims by contributing a total of $1.4 million to a fund for financing future FTX-related lawsuits.

However, most well-known influencers like Tom Brady, Stephen Curry, Shaquille O’Neal, Naomi Osaka, Shohei Ohtani, and supermodel Gisele Bündchen intend to defend their innocence in court.

In February, actor and comedian Larry David called himself an “idiot” for promoting FTX during the 2022 Super Bowl. At that time, cryptocurrency companies showcased a record number of video promotions during the main sporting and television event in the United States on February 13.

Back in the summer of 2022, famous rappers Eminem and Snoop Dogg released a video in collaboration with the popular NFT collection Bored Ape Yacht Club.
