Developers of the EOS network are preparing to publish an expanded project roadmap. As Brendan Blumer, CEO of Block. One—the company behind the project—stated, the team has since July last year achieved most of the planned milestones and now it is time to set longer-term goals.
He promised to disclose further details in the near future.
We put our strategic vision forth last June and have accomplished much of it since. Team is hard at work building #EOSIO into the most robust public/private #blockchain infrastructure full stop. Will be updating roadmap with imminent release details and longer term goals soon.

In response to criticism that the main EOS network has not been harnessed in the recently launched social network Voice, Blumer urged observers not to rush to conclusions.
“EOS remains a key component of our long-term plans, but, as with any decentralized system, our plans depend on the evolution of EOS, which is not yet determined,” he wrote.
But regarding @voicesociaI (and upcoming B1 initiatives), I wouldn’t jump to such conclusions just yet. #EOS currently remains a core part of our long term plans, but like with any decentralized system, our plans are dependent on the evolution of EOS which is undetermined.

The head of Block. One also said that in continuing to develop the network, the project would focus on improving the EOS token’s characteristics.
In June, Outlier Ventures researchers reported that over the past year 85% of developers had left the EOS ecosystem, and the number of updates to the project’s codebase on GitHub had fallen by 94%.
Earlier EOS investors filed a class-action lawsuit against Block.one’s management, accusing them of making misleading statements during the token sale.
