Epic Games backs metaverse infrastructure developer Hadean
British-based metaverse infrastructure startup Hadean raised $30 million in a Series A round.
The round was led by Molten Ventures.
It also included participation from game developer Epic Games, and investment firms 2050 Capital, Alumni Ventures, Aster Capital, Entrepreneur First and InQTe.
The funds will be used to expand scalable, interoperable and secure metaverse capabilities.
Founded in 2015, the company had previously signed long-term agreements with Minecraft, Pixelynx, Sony and Gamescoin.
In August, Wolf3D—the startup behind the Ready Player Me platform—closed a $56 million Series B round led by Andreessen Horowitz.
