“The activation of The Merge on the Ethereum mainnet is tentatively planned for September 15–16,” wrote EthHub co-founder Anthony Sassano.
During the call, the developers agreed that the pre-merge Bellatrix upgrade would take place in epoch 144896, on September 6.
The Merge itself will occur with the Paris upgrade, when the network’s cumulative difficulty (TTD) reaches 58750000000000000000000. This is expected to happen around September 15.

However these dates are not final — the timing of the upgrade could shift due to fluctuations in Ethereum’s hash rate, affecting the block interval.
Just under a month ago, developers tentatively mapped out migration to PoS on September 19, 2022.
Today, August 11, the Ethereum team successfully moved the Goerli testnet to the new consensus algorithm. This marked a final rehearsal of The Merge ahead of its deployment on the mainnet.
