Ethereum Developers Successfully Deploy Fusaka on Sepolia Testnet

The number of unique stablecoin senders on the second-largest cryptocurrency network reached an ATH.

On October 14, the test version of Ethereum’s major update, Fusaka, was successfully deployed on the Sepolia network. This was reported by the creator of The Daily Gwei, known as sassal.eth.

The Ethereum testnet, Sepolia, has been successfully upgraded to Fusaka!

Next up is the Hoodi testnet which is the final testnet being upgraded.

If all goes well with Hoodi, Fusaka should land on mainnet in early December.

According to the developer known as abcoathup.eth, the activation took 20 minutes.

The next phase will be testing the upgrade on Hoodi, scheduled for October 28. On December 3, the hard fork will be deployed on the mainnet of the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.

The primary goal of Fusaka is to enhance Ethereum’s scalability and efficiency. A key improvement will be the implementation of the PeerDAS protocol (EIP-7594), which is expected to double the network’s throughput.

Previously, Vitalik Buterin described the technology as unique: it will allow nodes to verify block data availability without fully downloading it. Nodes will receive small fragments and use erasure coding to reconstruct the remaining information.

Increased Activity

The number of unique stablecoin senders on the Ethereum network has reached an all-time high. According to The Block, the figure exceeded 1 million addresses per week.

From January 2020 to July 2024, there were on average about 400,000 stablecoin senders weekly. Since August, the figure has grown by more than 1.7% per week. In 2025, the average weekly value reached 720,000.

The monthly number of active addresses has remained in the range of 16-18 million over the past year.

The number of new addresses is steadily increasing. By the end of September, the figure exceeded 4.51 million—a record high for the past 12 months.

Earlier, the Kingdom of Bhutan announced the migration of its national ID system to Ethereum.
