Ethereum price hits new high above $2,080

On Friday, April 2, the price of the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap rose above $2,080 (Bitstamp exchange), setting a new price record.

As of writing, the asset was trading near $2,070.

The Ethereum price began testing the $2,000 level in the morning and for several hours could not break through it.

Bitcoin price on Bitstamp rose above $60,000 but failed to hold the psychologically important level.

According to CoinGecko, the cryptocurrency market capitalization approached $2 trillion, and the flagship’s dominance index has shrunk to 56.4%.
