Ethereum price hits new high at $2,870

On Saturday, May 1, Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalisation, rose to $2,870, a new all-time high.

At the time of writing, the digital asset was trading around $2,850, with a market capitalisation of about $330 billion.

On April 27, the Ethereum price reached a record high of $2,716.

The price of Binance’s BNB token hit a record high of $645. At the time of writing, BNB traded at around $632, with a market capitalisation of $97.7 billion.

On April 12, the BNB price reached a record high of $600.

According to CoinGecko, the cryptocurrency market capitalisation reached $2.3 trillion. Bitcoin trades below $60,000.

On April 29, JPMorgan analysts named the reasons for Ethereum’s outperformance over Bitcoin in terms of yields.
