Ethereum Staking Rate Declines to 3%
The annual reward rate for staking the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization has decreased to approximately 3%.

A key metric of the Ethereum network is lower than that of several other projects such as Aptos (7%) or Avalanche (7.84%).
“The yield from staking ether is now lower than that of other major layer-one protocols, including Cosmos, Polkadot, Celestia, and Solana, which ranges from 7% to 21%,” noted Kaiko analysts.
On the other hand, such a low figure for Ethereum indicates a low level of inflation compared to competing protocols.

Many market participants prefer to earn passive income through liquid staking services like Lido. The latter holds over 33% of its segment; TVL exceeds $25 billion.
Earlier, CryptoQuant contributor known as maartunn expressed confidence that by December, the number of TON holders will surpass that of Ethereum.
