Ethereum Unveils ‘Trillion Dollar Security’ Initiative

The Ethereum Foundation has introduced the Trillion Dollar Security project, described as an “ecosystem-wide effort to enhance Ethereum’s security to transition the world onto the blockchain.”

The “trillion dollar security” initiative aims to achieve the following conditions:

  • billions of people will be able to securely store over $1000 onchain under Ethereum’s protection;
  • for companies, institutions, and governments, this amount will reach $1 trillion within a single application or smart contract.

The implementation of Trillion Dollar Security involves three main components:

  • mapping the network’s strengths and attack vectors across all technological layers to focus on specific areas;
  • making improvements in priority areas identified during the assessment process;
  • more effective communication on Ethereum security issues involving a broad range of specialists and users.

Fredrik Svantes and Josh Stark will lead the project as co-chairs from the Ethereum Foundation.

Additionally, the three managers of Trillion Dollar Security will be:

  • the founder of Security Alliance known as samczsun;
  • founder and director of Sigma Prime Mehdi Zerouali;
  • co-founder of Etherealize Zak Obront.

Back in March, the Ethereum Foundation made significant changes in its leadership.

Following the management reshuffle, the organization shifted its focus to user experience and L1 scaling issues.
