In the city of Zug in Switzerland учредили the non-profit organization Everscale Foundation. ForkLog was told by representatives of Everscale.
The foundation is intended to be the ‘one-stop entry point’ into the crypto project’s ecosystem for investors, developers, media, contractors, and government bodies. It will form working groups in specific areas, including development and marketing.
Among the Everscale Foundation’s functions are helping startups that want to build products on the Everscale blockchain. To this end, the foundation will also manage a grants program.
Moreover, the Everscale Foundation will centralise intellectual property of the blockchain project, including trademarks, domains, patents and other assets.
The organization’s specialists will also address compliance issues and prepare the legal documentation required for listing the ecosystem’s crypto assets on trading platforms, data services that track trading activity and other resources.
Another function of the Everscale Foundation is to promote the ecosystem in the cryptocurrency market.
Everscale emphasised that the foundation will not affect the decentralised nature of the crypto project: important decisions about the ecosystem’s development and funding of individual initiatives will continue to be taken by holders of the native EVER token through voting in Ever DAO.
The decision to create the foundation in a legal form was taken by the Everscale community in December 2021. 50 million EVER were allocated to its work.
Earlier in Everscale, the project approved the project’s economic reform, aimed at mitigating the effects of the crypto-winter. The changes will affect the payout system to key participants and partners, protocol development, and the grants program.
