The cryptocurrency exchange EXMO lost 6% of total assets in the wake of the December 21 hack, according to an interim report.

Initially, the loss was estimated at around 5% of funds. The total damage in dollar terms is still being calculated.
According to EXMO, the attacker sent the bulk of the stolen bitcoins to a single address. It holds 306.99 BTC (about $7.2 million at the time of writing).
The exchange’s representatives assured that user balances were not affected by the attack. Deposits and withdrawals are planned to be restored on December 24, 2020.
Earlier on December 21, an unknown withdrew from hot wallets on the EXMO exchange funds in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Tether, Zcash and XRP. Preliminary estimates put the damage at $10.5 million.
