Expert suspects $2 million theft from CoinSpot exchange after hack

Two hot wallets belonging to the Australian cryptocurrency exchange CoinSpot are believed to have suffered a theft of 1,282 ETH (~$2 million) as a result of a hacker attack. This development предположил on-chain sleuth ZachXBT.

According to Etherscan, the hacker then swapped them for WBTC, USDC and USDT, using Uniswap, THORchain and WBTC.

Later he logged earnings of $768 000 for the creators of a fake Ledger Live app from the Microsoft Store.
