
Fidelity Investments’ Wise Origin Bitcoin Index Fund I surpasses $100 million in assets
Assets under management of Fidelity Investments’ Wise Origin Bitcoin Index Fund I, targeted at accredited investors, exceeded $102.4 million.
According to an SEC filing, since launch in August 2020, the fund has attracted 83 investors. The minimum entry threshold is $50,000.
Earlier, the CBOE filed an application to list Bitcoin-ETF from Fidelity Investments. Previously, the company also sent a similar request.
Earlier in April 2021, Fidelity Digital Assets head Tom Jessop said that Bitcoin has reached a tipping point in institutional adoption.
In 2020, Fidelity described digital gold as “an inspiring store of value” and “an insurance policy” against problems in the traditional financial system.
