Filecoin price nears all-time high near $140

Filecoin (FIL) price neared the $140 level, posting a new price high.

According to CoinMarketCap, on March 27 the coin price reached $139.48. At the time of writing, the price had retraced to slightly above $130, while over the past week the asset had risen more than 60%.

The Filecoin mainnet went live on 15 October 2020.

По данным Filfox, емкость хранения на платформе уже составляет 3.6 billion gigabytes. It counts 1,718 active miners, of which only the three largest have more than 2% of the network’s hashrate.

По информации издания 8btc на 40 ведущих владельцев нод Filecoin приходится почти 90% хешрейта. Все эти мощности расположены в Китае.

As noted, after the network’s launch in October, media reported a miners’ strike against Filecoin, dissatisfied with the economic model. The project behind Protocol Labs called this information absurd, but subsequently changed the mining-reward scheme.
