The agency conducted the operation in cooperation with the Polish police, with support from Europol and Eurojust. According to authorities, significant quantities of drugs and other illegal goods were sold through Silpulimarket.
The customs service reported the seizure of bitcoins tied to the platform, without specifying the exact amount. Preliminary investigation into the case continues.
Sipulimarket became an alternative to the closed in 2019 illegal marketplace Silkkitie (Valhalla), aimed at a Finnish audience.
Earlier, on November 3, the U.S. Department of Justice seized 69,370 BTC, related to the Silk Road darknet market.
