The former top executive is also a co-founder of an IoT IoT-company, Glue Home, and has served on the board of Just Eat.
The new chief executive pledged to focus on growing the ecosystem and expanding the community of developers and participants around StarkNet.
“My top priority will be to support, expand capabilities and build a strong community of developers and others who make StarkNet the most dynamic ecosystem for the development and scaling of Ethereum,” Oliva said.
The project will deepen work on STARK Proofs technology and its global dissemination.
In December 2022, payments giant Visa used StarkNet in a proof-of-concept for automated and programmable payments.
In February 2023, the StarkWare startup expanded its collaboration with the Chainlink decentralized oracle network to accelerate the rollout of the L2 solution.
Subsequently, the project team unveiled a roadmap focusing on performance and user experience in 2023, with the next year concentrating on decentralisation of operations and governance. Analyst Colin Wu saw in the document signs of preparation for a utility-token launch and an airdrop.
