Former Goldman Sachs risk management chief joins Circle board

The former Goldman Sachs chief risk officer Craig Broderick has joined Circle Internet Financial’s board of directors. This was announced by the CEO of the USDC co-emitter USDC, Jeremy Allaire.

“Craig’s deep knowledge and experience as a long-time leader in risk management at one of the world’s largest and most successful financial institutions will be an important asset as we continue to advance our regulation-focused business approach,” Allaire said.

Broderick spent 32 years at Goldman Sachs, including serving as co-chair of the firm-wide Risk Committee. He also oversaw various areas within his remit.

In June, Circle announced the appointment of former chairman Heath Tarbert of the CFTC to the role of chief counsel.
