The cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced the appointment of Rohit Vad to the position of Chief Technology Officer and Mayur Kamath to the post of Head of Product. ForkLog was told this by the exchange’s press office.
“We are working on a number of Web 3.0 services that will change the lives of billions of people, starting with the freedom of money. I am very glad that I can help make the amazing achievements of Web 3.0 technology accessible to everyone,” Vad said.
Mayur Kamath held the position of Vice President of Product at Agoda, the online-ticket booking platform, where he was responsible for supply, finance and the marketplace. In his career he has also led a product team at Google.
“Less than 10% of the internet population owns crypto assets. Our goal is to bring the benefits of Web 3.0 technology to the broad masses, making the product simple enough that anyone in the world can use it,” Kamath said.
Back in March Binance opened more than 100 vacancies in its UAE office after obtaining a work license in Dubai.
