Former White House Official Joins Bitfury

Jamie Smith who had previously worked at the White House as the president’s special assistant has taken the position of Bitfury’s head of global communications department.

She is an experienced communications expert, as earlier she was engaged in management of public relations in a private PR service provider, at the U.S. Senate, and other top government and commercial institutions.

Explaining her decision to join the cryptocurrency space, she wrote: “I believe in the blockchain and the transformation power of this technology. And you should too. In fact, I believe in the blockchain so much that I just left my fantastic job […] to take on the role of global chief of communications at BitFury.”

BitFury is among the world’s biggest miners which has raised over $60 millions of investment. Smith will become the first top manager of the company to have a considerable experience in government relations.
