FT reports South Korea’s Interpol request regarding Do Kwon

Authorities in South Korea have turned to Interpol with a request for locating and arresting Terraform Labs CEO Do Kwon. The Financial Times reports.

Authorities do not know the whereabouts of Do Kwon, and have therefore asked Interpol to issue the so-called «red notice». If approved, it would be circulated to police in 195 countries.

According to CNA, Singapore authorities have confirmed media reports that Do Kwon has left the city-state.

Earlier, on 14 September a court in South Korea issued an arrest for the Terraform Labs CEO and five others. The charges relate to breaches of capital markets legislation.

The following day, local media reported that the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office had to cancel the passports of Do Kwon and the other defendants.

On 17 September, the Terraform Labs CEO said that he is not on the run and is cooperating with authorities. He stressed that he would not disclose his location to outsiders.
