Last year, trading volume on the crypto-derivative exchange FTX jumped by more than 1,000%, and total traded volume exceeded $385 billion. This is according to the Итоговом обзоре FTX за 2020 год.
In December 2020, trading volumes nearly doubled the figure for all of 2019. By year-end, FTX’s spot-market daily trading volume surpassed $1 billion for the first time.

Key metrics for FTX in 2020:
- the number of exchange clients grew by more than 1,000% — about 100,000 new users registered on the platform;
- the number of daily users grew by 786%;
- since the start of the year, over-the-counter (OTC) trading volume increased almost tenfold. The record maximum was $350 million per day;
- the number of markets nearly tripled—from 410 to 1,100; the exchange added 71 assets for use as collateral. The list included 31 cryptocurrencies, 10 fiat currencies and 30 tokenized equities.
Additionally, in August 2020, FTX acquired Blockfolio, a digital asset portfolio management service. The $150 million deal was one of the largest acquisitions in the history of the crypto industry.
FTX is a crypto-derivative exchange offering spot, futures and over-the-counter trading. The platform supports options on BTC, leveraged tokens and контрактами MOVE.
Earlier this month, FTX launched futures contracts on Coinbase stock. The contracts will allow traders to profit from the anticipated stock price ahead of the IPO.
