Riot Games described it as the largest sponsorship deal in the company’s history. The contract value was not disclosed.
From August 7, FTX will place its branding on the advantage graphics during matches and will sponsor the “Most Progressive Player” award at the League Championship Series esports tournament — the flagship competition for the game in Canada and the United States.
League of Legends has over 120 million monthly active users, making it one of the world’s most popular games.
Back in June, FTX agreed with the esports team TSM on its rebranding worth $210 million. In 2009, TSM began as a League of Legends website and a resource with game guides.
Earlier, the cryptocurrency derivatives exchange announced plans to create an NFT marketplace focused on sports and entertainment.
