Gaming crypto firms raise $476m in the first half of 2021.

In the first half of 2021, gaming blockchain companies attracted $476 million. This is according to a report by venture-capital data aggregator InvestGame.

According to analysts, crypto firms accounted for 0.9% of total funding for the gaming industry, which amounted to $50.2 billion.

Compared with 2020, the number of investment rounds by blockchain companies in this sector doubled, from 12 to 24 deals.

Three firms attracted 73% of the total figure of $476 million:

In August, the daily audience of the NFT game Axie Infinity surpassed one million users. In May, billionaire Mark Cuban supported the project in a Series A funding round worth $7.5 billion.
