Cryptocurrency exchange Gate.io has announced the commencement of the sixth season of the World Crypto Trading Competition (WCTC S6), featuring a prize pool of up to $5 million, according to a press release.
To participate in the tournament, registration must be completed on the event page by August 12. WCTC S6 comprises team and individual competitions, scheduled from July 19 to August 15.
The prize pool will depend on the number of participants and could reach $5 million. Gate.io will allocate 70% of this amount ($3.5 million) among the winners of the team competition.
The exchange has also launched Gift Bonanza and Live Lucky Draws, offering various prizes, including Apple products and Gate.io merchandise.
“Through these activities, users can earn rewards without winning the trading competitions. We aim to make the contest appealing to both novice and experienced traders,” the press release states.
Gate.io is a centralized cryptocurrency exchange launched in 2013. The platform supports 2,200 cryptocurrencies and tokens in spot and futures markets.
