German footballer Mesut Özil asked followers about Bitcoin and Ethereum

The Fenerbahçe forward and former Germany international Mesut Özil launched a Twitter poll on the “question everyone is curious about” with the options “Bitcoin” or “Ethereum”.

More than 212,000 users took part in the poll. Of them, 55.7% preferred digital gold to the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.

Days earlier, Özil updated his Twitter profile photo. The footballer joined the ranks of “laser eyes” supporters awaiting Bitcoin to $100,000. Among them are Elon Musk, MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor, Wyoming Senator Cynthia Lummis, actress Emily Ratajkowski and others.

Earlier, AMC Theatres chief Adam Aron conducted his own poll. He asked followers about the need to add support for the meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin. Two weeks later, AMC integrated the asset for paying digital gift cards.

Earlier, Galaxy Digital founder Mike Novogratz asked his followers on Twitter what Cardano is and why the asset has such a large market capitalization.
