The number of large investors, on addresses holding more than 1,000 BTC, has reached an all-time high.
The number of #Bitcoin whales (entities holding at least 1,000 $BTC) has reached a new ATH after more than 4 years.
An entity is a cluster of network addresses controlled by the same individual/institution.

According to Glassnode data, the number of such whales has approached 2,000. The last time the figure was this high was in June 2016, shortly before the previous price rally.
Throughout 2020 there has been a notable uptick among large players. This is evident in activity on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and in the price dynamics of assets managed by Grayscale Investments.
Earlier in September, MicroStrategy, the first publicly traded company to acquire Bitcoin, predicted that in the coming months many traditional market participants would invest in Bitcoin.
