The number of cryptocurrency ATMs worldwide has risen to 39,015, according to Coin ATM Radar. A year ago it stood at 25,154.

In July, 693 new devices were installed, while in June and May — 790 and 239 respectively.

By country, the United States retains a commanding lead, accounting for 87.9% of all cryptocurrency ATMs. Canada is in second place with 6.3%.

The dominant manufacturer is Genesis Coin, occupying 40.6% of the market. Behind it are General Bytes (22.8%), BitAccess (15.8%) and Coinsource (5.2%).

The top 10 operators control more than half of all active Bitcoin ATMs (69.8%). Among the leaders are Bitcoin Depot, CoinCloud and CoinFlip, whose shares exceed 9% of the total.

Earlier, the slowdown in the pace of installations began in January 2022.

In the same month, Grand View Research analysts projected the crypto-ATM market to grow to $1.88 billion by 2028.
