
Google Cloud to become a validator on the Tezos network
Google Cloud has joined the Tezos ecosystem as a validator (baker).

The agreement between the parties is aimed at accelerating the development Web3-applications on the blockchain using the tech giant’s cloud infrastructure.
“At Google Cloud, we provide secure and reliable infrastructure for founders and developers to innovate and scale their applications. We look forward to enabling the reliability and scalability of Google Cloud to support Web3 applications on Tezos,” The Block quotes James Tromans, the tech director for the Tezos initiative.
Earlier, the Tezos network’s baker became the division of the French energy company EDF Group.
In April 2021, Ubisoft, the French gaming giant known for Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry, joined the ecosystem .
In November 2022, Google Cloud announced the launch of a node in the Solana network and added blockchain support to its Web3 developer service, Blockchain Node Engine.
