Google Cloud Unveils Ethereum RPC Service
Google Cloud’s service has launched a remote procedure call (RPC) service, enabling developers to access blockchain data and functionality through an API.
Google’s cloud division’s Blockchain RPC supports Ethereum’s main and test networks. Over the next year, additional blockchains are expected to be added.
The tool is compatible with the Ethereum JSON-RPC standard, allowing developers to integrate the service into their applications “with a single line of code.”
“RPC reliability is a significant concern for Web3 developers as it can impact the performance and availability of applications,” Google Cloud emphasized.
The company’s solution targets a broad audience, from startups needing easy blockchain integration to large enterprises requiring high-performance infrastructure solutions.
Blockchain RPC will compete with existing providers like Infura, Alchemy, QuickNode, and Ankr, which facilitate blockchain interaction without the need to run a full node.
In April, Google Cloud launched a Web3 developer portal, offering node setup guides, datasets, and tools from the corporation and its partners.
