Google Introduces Voice-Activated AI Photo Editing

Google Photos users can now edit photos using voice or text commands.

Users of Google Photos on Android can now edit photos using voice or text commands in natural language.

This AI-powered feature allows for modifications without the need to navigate through all the tools and their locations within the app.

Initially available to owners of the new Pixel 10 devices in the United States, introduced in August, AI editing is now open to all adult Android users in America.

To use the tool, one must press the Help me edit button in the editor and describe how the photo should be altered. If lacking personal ideas, users can opt for ready-made Gemini suggestions or simply say Make it better.

The feature supports standard edits like lighting adjustments. More complex changes are also available: removing background objects and restoring old photos. AI-generated elements can be added to make the image more expressive and creative.

During editing, Gemini understands clarifying requests and assists in refining the final result.

Back in September, Google announced a major AI update for Chrome.
