Google is set to enhance its AI assistant, Gemini, by incorporating the ability to ask questions using video and display content on the screen in real-time.
At the Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, the company showcased the new Screenshare feature, which enables screen information sharing. A demonstration video showed a user purchasing jeans and seeking advice on suitable clothing to match.
Google announced the video search feature in May 2024. It allows users to activate the camera and ask questions.
In the example provided, a woman activated video recording and inquired about a vase color that would complement her interior.
The new functionality will be available to Gemini Advanced users on the Google One AI Premium plan on Android by the end of March 2025.
In February, Google unveiled the new flagship AI model, Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental. The company also integrated the “thinking” neural network, Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking, into the Gemini app.
