Grayscale registers yEarn.Finance trust as YFI climbs to $46,000

The largest asset manager in cryptocurrency Grayscale Investments could potentially launch a trust based on the DeFi project token yEarn.Finance. The investment product has been registered by a trusted representative of the firm — Delaware Trust Company (DTC).

According to information on the Delaware state website, Grayscale Yearn Finance Trust (YFI) was registered on February 10, 2021.

Over the last two days, the YFI token rose from about $34,000 to above $46,000 — more than 35% (Kraken exchange).

At the end of January, DTC registered six trusts for Grayscale: based on Aave, Polkadot, Cosmos, Monero, EOS and Cardano.

In December 2020 the company filed applications to register funds for Chainlink, Tezos, Basic Attention Token, Decentraland and Livepeer.

As of writing, of Grayscale’s 33 registered trusts, nine are active.

As reported, the value of assets under management by the investment company has surpassed $30 billion. About 80% of them are in the Bitcoin Trust.
