
GRIID Mining Company Debuts on Nasdaq
On January 29, the American mining company GRIID went public through a reverse merger with a SPAC. Shares under the ticker GRDI began trading on Nasdaq, as stated in the press release.
In December 2021, the firm announced a definitive agreement with Adit EdTech Acquisition Corp. The deal was closed on January 2, 2024, and shares of the combined company began trading on the CBOE Canada exchange.
“We believe that listing on Nasdaq will enhance our visibility, liquidity, and expand our investor base as we continue to strengthen our market position,” stated GRIID CEO Trey Kelly.
At the time of writing, the stock price remains above $7.

Founded in 2019, the company currently operates four bitcoin mining facilities: in Watertown (New York), Limestone, Maynardville, and Lenoir City (Tennessee).
In April 2023, Bitdeer went public on Nasdaq through a reverse merger with a SPAC. Shares of the combined firm, named Bitdeer Technologies Group, were given the ticker BTDR.
Previously, the American blockchain hosting provider Core Scientific also achieved public status in a similar manner.
