Gryphon Digital Mining, a mining company devoted to using renewable energy, has signed an agreement with Bitmain to purchase 7,200 Antminer S19j Pro mining devices for a total of $48 million.

The purchase agreement for S19J Pro miners represents a significant step forward in Gryphon Digital Mining’s strategic initiative to increase hashrate while maintaining a zero-carbon footprint, according to the press release.
Under the terms of the agreement, Bitmain plans to supply Gryphon with 600 miners per month. The first shipment is scheduled for August 2021.
Earlier Gryphon Digital Mining announced plans to go public through a reverse merger with data-management provider Sphere 3D.

Recall that the U.S.-based company TeraWulf, which is more than 90% carbon-neutral, purchased from the Chinese manufacturer of 30,000 Antminer S19j Pro devices.
