The project team advised against interacting with the website’s front end until the investigation is complete.
The incident began early in the morning with the leak of 2500 SpookySwap liquidity tokens (spLP). The victim also lost other assets.
The hacker’s address appeared on the network 222 days ago. Among the stolen coins were:
- 2353 Equalizer (EQUAL);
- 510,579 FantomStarter (FS);
- 2,500 spLP;
- 6 million AnyInu (AI);
- 985,565 ChillPill (CHILL);
- 50,000 WigoSwap (WIGO);
- 25 multiDEUS (DEUS).
The total damage is relatively small, estimated at several tens of thousands of dollars. However, funds from DEX users continue to flow to the hacker.
Simultaneously, the hacker created a fake Equalizer account on X, offering compensation.
In the Discord channel, the project team provided several tips to users to prevent further loss of funds:
“If you are asked to approve anything when connecting to decentralized applications, immediately stop using that site. […] If you are asked to approve any contract that is unknown or not in our documents, stop using that site.”
A community member with the nickname 543 noted that users are safe if they “did not interact with Equalizer websites” a few hours before the incident. Otherwise, he recommended revoking all recent permissions.
The exchange team is currently “working on restoring the main website.” Until the issue is resolved, Equalizer advised using alternative mirrors.
