Hackers compromised the Instagram account of the metaverse The Sandbox and placed a phishing link in its bio. Users were urged not to interact with the profile until the project regains access.

Representatives of the project confirmed the breach—despite 2FA authentication and other security measures. They contacted the platform and urged users not to click the links.
